Painter

Who is a painter and what can they do?

The primary role of a painter is to perform the final finishing of various surfaces, such as painting, varnishing, oiling, and covering surfaces with roll materials like wallpaper and textile finishing materials. This task includes preparing finishing surfaces, calculating materials, measuring, cutting, and installation.

At level 4, a painter organizes their workspace independently and is responsible for the quality execution of their tasks.

How can one become a painter?

Prerequisite for starting: basic education

Form of study: non-stationary session study or workplace-based learning, one week per month

Duration of study: 1 year

Volume of company internship: 15 ECTS credits, approximately 390 astronomical hours.

Upon completion of the program, a level 4 painter's vocational examination is taken.

What is learned?

Painters gain knowledge and practical skills for the final finishing of various surfaces and covering them with roll materials. They learn how to prepare surfaces, calculate materials, and handle cutting and installation.

What comes next?

Most painters work in construction and property maintenance companies. A skilled and certified painter is always a valued and sought-after employee.

With further training and work experience, a painter can advance in their career to become a master of finishing works.
