If you have an unfinished education or wish to start high school studies, it's time to make a decision and submit an application to start your studies at the General Education Department of Võrumaa Vocational Education Centre.

You have the opportunity to:

  • Continue your education if you are at least 17 years old,
  • Acquire basic or secondary education,
  • If desired, also acquire a profession,
  • Study alongside work and family commitments,
    • Study in basic education for 2 days per week,
    • Study in high school for 3 days per week,
  • Develop independent learning skills,
  • Learn in a modern educational environment with the support and guidance of professional and friendly educators.

Education in grades 8 - 9 is conducted according to the national curriculum for basic schools, and graduates receive a basic education diploma. To graduate from basic education, you must submit a creative project during grade 8 and pass exams in Estonian language, mathematics, and one elective subject at the end of grade 9.

Education from grades 10 to 12 follows the national high school curriculum, and graduates receive a high school diploma. To graduate from high school, you must pass state exams in Estonian language, mathematics, and a foreign language, in addition to a school exam, and complete a practical research project in grade 11.

General education is conducted in a non-stationary form, which allows flexible education alongside work and family commitments. Students can spend multiple years in the same grade and study part-time as individual subject learners.

In non-stationary education, the classes are scheduled as contact hours:

  • In basic education for grades 8 and 9, two days per week,
  • In high school, three days per week.
